Here are some cool portraits by Monica Sutrisna aka Mon Mon who is Melbourne, Australia based artist and illustrator.
Monica is very talented artist having artistic mind to do something creative. She says that her artistic style is immobile on monochromatic K-pop fan art contrasted by an intense color palette and unusual pattern designs. She states, “As a designer with an artists’ mindset, design helps me make decisions, while art helps me take risks. I often think about shaping the future using art and design as a means for this. Both areas reward me with opportunities to create something everlasting for myself and for the world to see.” “My goal in life is to inspire people through art and design much like how the kids inspired me with their art.” She says further.
“Influenced by Abstract, Realism, Contemporary Art, Fashion and Korean popular culture, I use graphite, water color paints, colored pencils, markers and pens as my only mediums. These artworks range from personal projects, uni projects, commissions and exhibition pieces. As for my kpop fan art, I love the idea of giving an added dimension to the celebrities I draw. It’s an outlet for me to creatively and uniquely express my appreciation for these kpop artists.” Says Monica about these portraits.
I must say that from texture to selection of color, everything is perfectly made. I hope readers will like her art work.
