Today we’ll share creative work of Kseniya Simonova known as a Lady of the Sand. She was born on April 22, 1985 in Evpatoriya that is a small city on the Crimean peninsula, in the South of Ukraine.
When she was child, she has been used to design and drew with her mother. Meanwhile 2006, she was student of two Universities at once. Kseniya worked in a Crimean Riviera, a smooth magazine as an artist and there she started her personal Graphics field. Simonova involved in drawing and spend four to five hours daily with sand in a small dark room of house they borrowed. Her new job was physically hard where she had to stand for long hours and it was so difficult to manage but she did.
She participated in well-known TV program “Ukraine’s got talent”. Her husband, Igor, advised that she should enter the competition and Kseniya decided to enter where the prize was one million hryvna, the equivalent of $110,000.
She presented a two minute sand story and was nominated as a semifinalist. She desired to make a sand story about World War II, but the producers stimulated her to choose a more popular theme. Kseniya refused because wanted to fetch some memorable sense to this show. She did it and was a winner of the contest.
