These are Portraits of Chinese Rockstars Look Similar to Monumental Temples. Per capita oil painting give a picture of the face of a musician as if it were a temple made in religious fervor to a god. It shows as it takes the elements from Buddhist and Confucian architecture.

This marvelous work is presented by Chinese artist DU Kun who is from Beijing. He is impressed by the conception of music, characteristic, renown and the incorporeal atmosphere of being a well-regarded rockstar. He represents rockstars as ancient architectural monuments. Somewhat he attempts to capture these temple-like portrayals of famous Chinese soundtrack artists titled “Revels of the Rock Gods”. Each oil painting is truly awe and eye-catching as it illustrates the facade of a musician. It seems that it is a temple constructed in devotion to a god. Eyes are portrayed as windows, tree twigs or cascades as flowing hair and the skin superficial is as decorative wood facades cover with gold.  At this time Du Kun exhibiting the “Revels of the Rock Gods” series as part of his first lone show in Japan at Mizuma Art Gallery in Tokyo through February 13, 2016.

His passion for rock music be the same as his love of art. He brings together both his favorite musicians, architectural compositions and natural phenomena of the world in a series of painted oil portraits. These are pared into pagodas, Confucian, Buddhist temples and other traditional Asian structures. The faces look as if as Majestic Mountain and cliffs rising from the seas. Roaring falls, volcanic flare-ups and lush landscaping are merged into the painted masterpieces.
