A Showcase Of Hand-Drawn Typography

A Showcase Of Hand-Drawn Typography

Creating a web design that stands out and truly shows off a brand’s personality can be extraordinarily challenging. When creating a site, sometimes the last thing you want is for it to fit in and look bland and lifeless – especially if you want to build a site that people will remember. Using hand-drawn typography for large, bold headings and extra details is a great way to put across your brand’s quirky, creative personality and, when done right, can look amazing too.

We’ve brought together a showcase of hand-drawn typography used creatively to help create memorable, bold & fun web designs.

    Hello Alex,

When designing websites, fonts can be quite hard to get right dependent on the type of company. There is a certain feel towards hand drawn typography that you do not get through standard web fonts. Hand drawn fonts can automatically create a different look and feel to a website, although this style of font only works on certain websites. This selection of fonts are very visually interesting. I especially like ‘gnosh’ and how they have used the font to give an effect of being drawn on a board, as it would be within a restaurant. This automatically connects to what the company is about, bringing in the feel through the typography.
